Lesser black-backed gulls

Lesser black-backed gulls,
Töölönlahti, Helsinki 7.8.2014,
except the last photo 11.8.2014.

These gulls winter in East Africa and

  1. Es ist unglaublich, dass diese Vögel soweit fliegen. Auf alle Fälle ist es dort wärmer, als hier:-) Ich wünsche Dir und der Familie ein schönes Wochende, Inge

  17. I have always thought gulls are very elegant birds, and especially love the black ones! The one on the rock, is it a mother and her young, beaks open? They look like they are have quite some conversation!

    1. Thank you Wren! I think it was the parents with their chick. They were talking to the other gulls. I think the others came too close to the chick.

  23. Many nice poses, but I enjoy the two having an argument. In gull talk maybe they are just saying sweet nothings!
