                                                                   Lake Pitkäjärvi.

We had a beautiful warm sunny autumn day on Saturday. I grabbed my camera and went out for a long walk. Several hours later I had taken almost 200 photos. I spent most of the weekend organizing my photos and putting tags on them. No jewelry this weekend either. Seems my inspiration has taken a vacation...

Books I've read:

  • Trudi Canavan: The Magician's Apprentice ( the prequel to the Black Magician Trilogy)
  • Kelley Armstrong: Darkest Powers Trilogy (YA books set in the same universe as her Women of the Otherworld books)

Have a good week!

Dahlias again

I'm sure you're all tired of dahlias by now. These are the last of them - I promise! They are so wonderful! I love all the different colors!

The weekend went by quickly. I finally got my beading table cleaned up. It's been some months since I've actually seen the surface of the table... I hope I'll get some beading done next weekend!

These are some of the books I've read:
  • Janet Evanovich: Finger Lickin' Fifteen (a super funny Stephanie Plum novel)
  • Kelley Armstrong: Men of the Otherworld & Tales of the Otherworld (most of these stories were previously available online on her website)
  • Tanya Huff: Blood Bank (a collection of all the short stories about Henry, Vicki and Mike)
  • "Death's Excellent Vacation" (a new Sookie story by Charlaine Harris + Jeanine Frost, Lilith Saintcrow and others)
  • "Dark and Stormy Knights" (Ilona Andrews, Jim Butcher, Lilith Saintcrow, Carrie Vaughn and others!)
  • C.E. Murphy: the five and a half books about Joanne Walker (the half being the short story in "Winter Moon", mystery with a Native American twist)
Have a good week!
