Woodcock or Eurasian woodcock

An unexpected visitor in our garden on Friday morning.
These photos were taken through the window.

I'm linking to I'd Rather B Birdin'.

  7. en Morkulla tydligen. Vilken lycka. Den har jag bara sett flygande på håll. Men andras kunskap sa morkulla. Häftigt. :)

  10. Good morning Gunilla! I'm visiting you also from Saturday Critters. Great shots of the woodcock ... even through a window. I actually saw one of these for the first time just a couple of weeks ago here in my town (I live near Lake Ontario in Canada). He was so plump, but very similar to yours. Ours are called "American Woodcock" (so imaginative!). Nice shot of the butterfly in your previous post too. Have a wonderful week :) Wendy x

  12. Wow! great shots Gunilla. You are so lucky to see a Woodcock.
They are so secretive here and if you disturb one form the woodland floor its gone in a millisecond.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. I will return your visit (if I haven't visited you already), but please be patient. I might not be able to do so until the weekend. Take care!
