Shetland pony




Shetland pony at Fallkulla Farm 5.4.2015.

This handsome fellow is Aku.
He's getting his grey summer coat.
His coat is black during winter.

  6. I do have a soft spot for ponies, Shetlands in my youth were always very cute but naughty so and so's! This one looks as if she has bags of character too!

  13. Interesting they she turns gray in the summer months ... maybe more reflective so she doesn't get as hot. The Shetlands have always been a favorite since childhood ... but as I recall, they can be pretty fiesty. Deceiving to think they are good companions for children, Ha! Very cute, Gunilla ...

    1. Thank you, Andrea! I would also have thought that he would turn black in the summer, but he turns grey. Fallkulla Farm is a place for kids to get to know farm animals. It seems Aku is great with kids.
