Herring gull

Herring gull in the Market Square
in Helsinki 8.4.2014.

The herring gull is the second largest of
Finland's typical gulls.
It's described as having a strong beak
and stern looking eyes.

I'm linking to Wild Bird Wednesday.

  8. Great photos. The close-ups are great but I especially like those first ones where you have captured the gull 'screaming' - so typical if gulls everywhere!

  11. HI Gunilla All wonderful action shots however I don't believe the gull is a Herring gull as they have pinkish legs not yellow.

  16. My town is full of Seagulls too, we even sit at a parking lot and feed them! I'm sure you will see a post of Seagulls one of these day at my blog. But I have not found out what type they are, they do look much alike yours.
