Baby on the road






I found this little one sitting in the middle of
the road in Luukkaa today.
He didn't move a feather as I approched.
He was very kind to pose for a few photos
before he got up and jumped back into the forest.

I think he's a baby robin
(please correct me if I'm wrong).

      Thank you Anni! No vehicles allowed except for park services and it wasn't sitting there when I walked by a little earlier.

      Thank you Gail! I think he was resting. He jumped back into the forest after a while.I don't think he could fly yet.

    He (or she) does not look any the worse for wear. I have often come across fledglings learning to fly and in my case need to ward off the cats, so that they can have a fair chance of life. Being from a different part of the world, I am afraid I cannot confirm the species.
