I am trying to remember whether I have ever seen a Common Goldeneye with young and I don’t think I ever have, so your pictures are especially delightful.
Hi Gunilla, Goldeneyes we can only see during the winter months, so ducklings of this kind I have never seen. The woodpecker is a familiar bird for me. This female has given you good chances to make pictures. The flowwrs belong to this part of the year, beautiful. Greetings, Kees
I'm glad I could show you the goldeneye ducklings. I'm not really sure how many there were: they're always moving around and diving and it's difficult to count them.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. I will return your visit (if I haven't visited you already), but please be patient. I might not be able to do so until the weekend. Take care!
Very beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much!

ReplyDeleteI'm glad I could show them to you, David. The ducklings pretty much take care of themselves even if the mother is usually nearby.
DeleteGreat to see the Goldeneye ducklings Gunillia. Have a great week ahead.
ReplyDeleteThese were the first ducklings I've seen this spring. Enjoy your week.

We watched the woodpecker search for food for a while. It's a beautiful bird.
