We spent a few days in Edinburgh last week.
I loved it! It's a beautiful city.
We enjoyed the sights.
We had good food and a few cold beers.
Something warm might have been more appropriate
because the wind from the sea was quite cold
despite the beautiful spring weather.
Old Town with the Edinburgh Castle in the background.
Nelson's Monument on Calton Hill.
The Palace of Holyroodhouse.
The ruins of the abbey at the Palace.
The Palace seen from Calton Hill.
View towards Old Town.
View over New Town.
View over Edinburgh from Calton Hill.
We took the train to North Berwick on Saturday.
We visited the Scottish Seabird Centre
and had a lovely lunch. After that we took the bus
to Tantallon Castle.
View from Tantallon Castle.
Bass Rock on the left and Isle of May
further away on the right.
34 000 pairs of gannets nest on the Bass Rock.

The Castle was built in the 1350s.
Enjoying a walk on the beach in North Berwick.
I will share more photos from Edinburgh
over the next weeks.
