A walk in the forest


Wood Cranes­bill (Geranium sylvaticum),
alsocalled Wood Crane’s-bill, Woodland Geranium.


Spring Vetch (Lathyrus vernus)

also called Spring Pea, Spring Vetchling.




Cottongrass (Eriophorum vaginatum).


Bog or Marsh Rosemary (Andromeda polifolia),
Heather Family – Ericaceae, perennial dwarf shrub.


Labrador Tea (rhododendron tomentosum),
also called Wild Rosemary, Marsh Tea, Northern Labrador Tea,
Heather Family – Ericaceae, perennial dwarf shrub.


New growth on a spruce (Picea abies).


Mallard taking a nap.


Canada geese. There were two of them.

Common gull.

  24. I love your geraniums, Gunilla, they bloom so nicely in my yard. I haven't heard of the fluffy cotton grass, and I would like to try the Labrador tea.

  26. I forgot almost to mention your flower pictures which are so beautiful ! I watched the Freddy Mercury video, I had never seen that it's really great. I like him very much he is one of my favorite singers !

  27. Yes it's difficult to restrict to two posts in summer, but harder to achieve in winter I find Gunilla. I have an aim of publishing less, but better images, doubt that I will be able to stick to it though.
