Gundis





Gundis in Korkeasaari / Helsinki Zoo 30.8.2014.

Gundis are small stocky rodents living in the
rocky deserts in North Africa. There are five
species and these are common gundis.
Like most desert animals, they get the
water they need from their food.

    Cool critters, Gunilla! I see they are about the same size as a hamster...but not that closely related.
