Oystercatchers

A family of oystercatchers,
Töölönlahti, Helsinki 1.8.2014.

Click on the photos for a bigger view.
You can see that the young bird in the first photo
still has some baby feathers left in the neck area.

I'm linking to Wild Bird Wednesday.

  8. These are much sharper Oystercatchers. They have such fine features like that bill. They are a favorite of mine as I don't always get to see them!
