  13. Cool shots . It it amazing that lizard can loose their tail in defense if something trys to catch them by it and then eventually grow back new ones , you have shown lizards with tails , with the start of a new tail growing back and looks like one that has just lost it's tail by something trying to catch it by the tail.

    1. Thank you Roan! They're pretty small and not dangerous at all. They're quick to disappear when they feel you coming.

  17. We have loads of lizards here. (Which is probably why we have so many snakes). We had one lizard regular around here that lost it's tail, too. We called him "Stumpy." Most days we'd find him resting beneath the dirt of one of our rose trees.

    1. Thank you Kristin! We don't have that many lizards or snakes because most of the year is too cold for them.

  19. Great shots of the lizards. Some of them look like they busy regrowing their tails. I remember getting the fright of my life, as a little kid, when I tried to grab a lizard by the tail and it came off in my hand. I cried for hours..

  20. Very cool shots! I love lizards, these look a tad bit menacing though... maybe they're still mad about losing their tails, lol!

  21. Reading Karen's comment - that would be a shocking thing to have happen, for the lizard and you! I like the pre-historic look to these creatures.
