    1. Tack Nette! Bakgrunden varierar beroende på om det är himlen eller husen som speglas i vattnet. Så synd att du inte får in dina bilder. Jag hoppas att problemen går om. Kram, Gunilla

  14. These are so beautiful. I had heard that there was some 200 of a species of Mergansers near our home, but we have been having exhausting days, and alas I never made it over to see.

  15. Hello Gunilla,
Such a pretty bird is the Merganser. with its fine beak and that touch of red. A nice complement to the black and white colouring. I smile as I look at the photos knowing how busy those little legs and webbed feet are working under the water to create the rich wake as he glides along the water.
I'm always awed with how the birds cope during your Winter months. I think about the icy cold water, and how my skin would probably turn blue within minutes, and yet birds like the Merganser contentedly swim in such water, or walk about the snow or over the ice, which I couldn't do barefoot. Their constitution certainly is awesome, and fully worthy of deep respect.
Thanks for sharing, and thanks very much for visiting me again. Very appreciated

    1. Thank you Magda! The cold doesn't seem to bother them, Most of them have to go further out to sea to find open water during the winter months.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. I will return your visit (if I haven't visited you already), but please be patient. I might not be able to do so until the weekend. Take care!
