Gull update

Remember the common gull in one of my
Wordless Wednesday posts sometime in June?
I got the following information from Germany:
Sturmmöwe Larus canus
Ring-Nr. : Helgoland 5418001
Farbring: AEAA
Beringungsdaten: 22.12.2012 Brunsbüttel / NE-Kanal

The bird was ringed 22.12.2012 in Brunsbüttel.
Brunsbüttel is a town in the district of Dithmarschen,
in Schleswig-Holstein in northern Germany, that lies
on the mouth of the Elbe river near the North Sea.
It has been observed as follows:

26.02.2013 Brunsbüttel / NE-Kanal
18.03.2013 Brunsbüttel / NE-Kanal
22.03.2013 Brunsbüttel / NE-Kanal
28.05.2013 FINNLAND - Helsinki (by me)
25.06.2013 FINNLAND - Helsinki
01.08.2013 FINNLAND - Helsinki

I'm linking to I'd Rather B Birdin'.

I shared my observation with the Museum of Natural History, which is a part of the University of Helsinki, and then I got an email from Germany with the above information.

  10. I always find it interesting Gunilla about bird migration and how far some species travel and their habits in relation to this.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. I will return your visit (if I haven't visited you already), but please be patient. I might not be able to do so until the weekend. Take care!
