Wow, impressive shots! I don´t like ants so much since I had them in my flat (altough I live on the fifth floor...) but they do their work... And your photos are fantastic!
Gunilla, these are wonderful...at first glance I thought the ants were flower buds, maybe on a cactus. Amazing ... really shows the power of macro photography.
Great detail of the ants and aphids. Unfortunately ants started invading my house and they put aphids on the plants on my light shelf. I'm going to have to make up some more borax and sugar to get rid of them.

Oh my goodness, these images are creepy crawling ants!! Around Texas, the Fire Ants, are nasty creatures and I wouldn't be that close at all!
