Goldeneye








Knipa (Bucephala clangula) - goldeneye

I encountered this female with her six ducklings
one morning in a small pond in a park.

    Pekné kačice. Včera som sa bola celý deň bicyklovať a tiež som fotila kačice. No boli dosť vzdialené, takže nemám také dobré fotky ako ty.

    Nice ankkoja. Eilen olin pyöräilyn koko päivän ja otin myös kuvia ankkoja. Mutta oli jotenkin pois, joten minulla ei ole hyviä kuvia kuin sinä.

      Dammen de simmade i var inte så stor. De var bara där en par dagar och sen försvann de ner till sjön.

    How endearing--the young are in school learning to catch their own dinner? Especially like the photo where they all go for a dive.

      Thanks Faye! Looks like they're getting a lesson, doesn't it? It was difficult catching them all in the same pic as someone was always diving and another one popping back up.
