Cold sunny Sunday

The weekend went by far too quickly once again. Today we finally had a gorgeous sunny winter day. It's been cold enough all week that Lake Pitkäjärvi has gotten a thin ice cover. These pictures were taken the same places as the ones a week ago, but the sunshine makes a huge difference! After my walk I enjoyed some mulled wine (glögg/glögi in the Nordic countries) and chocolate. Stay warm everyone!

We had a very grey and windy weekend. Everything is very pretty though because everything is covered in fresh fluffy snow. I've been burning candles like crazy all weekend cuddled up under a quilt in the sofa reading.

   Dandelion Clocks Lamp

I found these wonderful lamps from Hannah Nunn. This is what she says about them:

A lovely free standing table lamp with a pretty Cow Parsley / Dandelion Clocks design. All the little seeds are blowing away!

The design is laser cut from paper and then the paper is laminated for strength and durability.

It is 30 cm high and has a 13cm diameter (11.8" x 5.1").

All lamps are CE marked and safety tested.

It gives a lovely cosy glow!

A beautiful day

Nothing much is happening around here. We've celebrated Mirja's birthday and a lot of other birthdays. Seems all I've done is drive everyone around wherever they're going. Autumn disappeared somewhere too. How did I miss it? Now there aren't any leaves in the trees and we even got a little snow. I'm not ready for winter yet! I hope they're wrong when they're talking about 5-10 cm snow on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Today we had a beautiful day. The sun was shining. The sky was blue. I went on a walk in the forest. It was very quiet, just the sound of the water flowing in the small river.
