  1. The hills in my part of Wales are covered in bright yellow gorse at the moment, similar to forsythia, in colour at least.

  15. Forsythia - I would recognize them anywhere, because when we lived in Holland, we had a bush of these flowers, first to bloom in the year. Beautiful macros, Gunilla!

  23. Our daughter's name is Cynthia and when she was little she thought this flower was called'For Cynthia'. So that is what we have always called it, even half a century later )))). It is such a beautiful early spring color.

  28. Forsythian är en riktigt vacker blomma/buske. Jag har den i min trädgård. Tyvärr lite ranglig. Kanske måste klippas ner något år... Eller köpa en ny som får växa och gro. Fina bilder.

  29. Such a sure sign of early spring in temperate climates. I have not seen any here in Florida. Perhaps they need the cold winter to allow them to survive and bloom.
