Red panda

Red panda at Korkeasaari, the Helsinki Zoo, 30.8.2014.
These photos were taken through glass.

The red panda is slightly larger than a domestic cat.
It's native to the eastern Himalayas and
south-western China. It eats mainly bamboo,
but it also eats eggs, birds, insects and small
animals. It's a solitary animal and active
mainly during the night.
