Mute swans

Mute swans in Helsinki 11.3.2014.

Some photos from last spring when the family
of mute swans returned after the winter away.
There was still ice on the bay and the swans
had to share the open water with the ducks.

I'm linking to I'd Rather B Birdin'.

  3. Such elegant, romantic birds, and the babies are really getting big! They really grow fast, do people feed them?

  9. Ihania kuvia joutsenista. Vallankin ensimmäinen kuva sulatti suorastaan sydämmeni. Vesipisarat näkyivät upeasti joutsenen päässä =).

  10. Nice to see your Mute Swans Gunilla. Soon, and like our own swans they will be nesting when the weather warms up a little.

And of course interesting to hear of your politically incorrect candies!

  24. The swans are beautiful and the location reminds me of home. It looks as though your spring is a little more advanced than ours, however. Winter has not yet released its grip. We set a record for February temperatures when there was not a single day when the temperature exceed zero.
