We're celebrating Independence Day
in Finland today, December 6th.
Right now I'm watching the old
Tuntematon Sotilas (1955)(The Unknown Soldier)
on tv. They're showing the new
Tuntematon Sotilas (1985) later today.
Both are based on the book by Väinö Linna from 1954
about the Continuation War between Finland
and the Soviet Union during World War II.
I'm also going to watch the ball at the
Presidential Palace while enjoying
a nice bottle of red wine.
I'm also joining
Tina's Weekend Flowers.

Have a wonderful
